1) What do you think of microfinancing?
Hmm .. i think that microfinancing means helping poor families to give
them a better life. There are some examples like finding jobs for them to work, giving them food to fill their stomach, giving out neccessities that the poor needs and of course, providing them with revenue. I think that these finance should all come from richer countries who are living in "luxury" compared to those living in "alright" places. In this way, the rich can provide money to the poor and the poor can repay them by using their own talents. This will not only help the poor but build friendship and equality between all countries too. This is therefore my idea of microfinancing.
2) Do you think it can eradicate poverty altogether?
Of course! If all of us put in our best efforts and try to help the poors instead of being selfish, eradicating poverty will just become a matter of time. Its just up to whether we're willing to share.
3) Do you think Singapore (as a society) takes care of our poor?
Hmm .. Singaporeans .. of course ! We always have charity programmes to donate to the poor to help them change into better lives and our school would also ask us to donate old clothes, books, etc to help the poor. The government also introduced financial assistance to families who have low incomes. Therefore, i think Singapore (as a society) not only takes normal care of our poor, but extreme care for them.
